NSCN (YA) condemns ‘drone strikes’ by security forces

NSCN (YA) has accused the Indian security forces stationed at Nampong outpost in Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh of carrying out “drone strikes” across Pangsau border and randomly dropping bombs in the surrounding areas. MIP in a statement however claimed that luckily no civilians were hurt in the attack.

It said that such destructive intentions to cause harm and disturbance in a highly populated area by the “army of a civilised” nation ought to be condemned in the strongest term by one and all.

In view of this serious threat posed to innocent lives, the group said the Indian Army was turning itself as a foe of the Naga public. MIP said the Naga Army would not remain a mute spectator if any innocent civilians were harmed in such future attacks, adding that NSCN (YA) would respond appropriately.
