Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) has congratulated Sano Vamuzo, its first chairperson, on being conferred the Padma Shri Award 2024 for her distinguished services in the field of social work.
In a congratulatory note, NSCW said Sano, apart from her many achievements as a passionate social activist, especially championing the causes of women, held two consecutive terms of the commission from 2007 till 2013.
NSCW said it was a proud moment for the commission and every Naga woman in general that Sano has been conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri. NSCW congratulated and wished her good health and more success in all her endeavours.
