NSDMA forecast moderate tolight rain at most places till Oct 11

Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home department, has forecast that Nagaland would witness localised thunderstorm and lightning with moderate rain to light rain at most places till October 11.
In a press note, additional secretary Sentiwapang Aier stated that districts of Kiphire, Kohima, Mokokchung, Peren and Tuensang would, however, witness heavy rain accompanied by localized thunderstorm and lightning on October 9 & 10.
As a result, NSDMA has stressed the need to take necessary measures. Due to the risk of high precipitation in the hill sector, NSDMA said lowland and foothill districts were vulnerable to inundated waterlogging and flash floods.
In this regard, the low-lying districts and hilly districts have been requested to implement the precautionary measures.
NSDMA also urged the public to exercise caution and asked all DDMAs and other line departments to remain on high alert.
