NSDMA issues weather forecast

Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has informed that weather conditions across the state during March 25-29, 2026 were expected to remain generally stable with chances of rainfall and thunderstorms towards the latter part.
NSDMA said most districts were likely to experience stable weather conditions from Mar 26-27. However, it said isolated thunderstorms accompanied by lightning could occur at a few places particularly during the afternoon or evening hours.
Further, NSDMA said weather activity was expected to increase from Mar 28 onwards, with light rain likely at a few places in Longleng, Mokokchung, Peren, Phek, Tseminyu and Zunheboto. On Mar 29, NSDMA said light to moderate rainfall was expected in Kohima, Chümoukedima, Mokokchung and Mon, while Longleng could experience moderate to heavy intermittent rainfall.
