NSF concerned over delay in functioning of NIMSR

Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) expressed concern over the delay in functioning of Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Kohima, Phriebagie which was yet to take off even after 10 years of laying of foundation stone.
The NSF delegation led by its president K. Tep conveyed this to Health & Family Welfare minister P Paiwang Konyak when the members paid a courtesy call here on Tuesday evening.
NSF also congratulated Paiwang and was optimistic that there would be improvement in public healthcare service in the State under his guidance as they expected him to discharge his duties effectively and efficiently without any bias or favour. The NSF team also deliberated on various issues pertaining to the healthcare delivery system in the State.
On his part, the minister thanked the student body delegation for the visit and assured to reach out to every section of the society through deployment of adequate numbers of doctors and nurses and meeting other requirements at district hospitals.
While seeking cooperation from NSF, Paiwang also appealed to public through NSF for using generic medicines that were being made available through Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) at affordable prices.
