Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) Friday felicitated the 28 toppers of the recently concluded HSLC exam 2016 at the felicitation programme held at Zonal Hall, Kohima.
Chief secretary Pankaj Kumar IAS graced the function as chief guest.
Kumar congratulated the toppers and challenged them to strive even harder for greater achievement in future. He advised the students to set goal in life and re-examine oneself and work towards what was best for him/her in striving for achievement. He reminded the toppers that nothing was permanent and asked them to stick to their goal.
Chief secretary also appealed the toppers to acknowledge their parents and teachers, for their support and nurturing them. Further, he challenged the toppers to continue to be topper in future.
President NSF Subenthung Kithan also congratulated the toppers and said they have made their family, society, and Naga proud with their achievement. He said their achievement was just a tip of iceberg and they have to work harder to reach the higher level.
The programme chaired by NSF speaker, Joshua Thong Seb began with an invocation prayer by Kohima Phom Baptist Church pastor, Rev. Phomlee Van.
Speech on behalf of toppers was delivered by Phepon P Meya (top 6) special song was presented by Stella HSS Kohima. Of the 28 students, who were included in the top 20th list one student was from Manipur board
