NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy highlights

The 25th Anniversary Edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy, one of Nagaland’s premier football tournaments, officially kicked off at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. The tournament is jointly organized by the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and Angami Students’ Union (ASU).
This year holds dual significance: commemorating the 25th tournament edition and 39 years since the tragic loss of Lt. Kekuojalie Sachü and Lt. Vikhozo Yhoshü during a peaceful rally on March 20, 1986.
A total of 45 teams are competing for the title. As of Day 13, 128 goals have been scored (6.4 per match), with 20 teams eliminated. Thokchom Adison Singh (17) of Mez & Co leads as top scorer with 10 goals, followed by Hemgoulal (20) of PLLA, Manipur with 7 goals.
To enhance accessibility, the tournament has introduced e-ticketing and live streaming via BingeBoxx, covering matches at IG Stadium Kohima and Chümoukedima Football Stadium.
