Jakhama Youth Organisation (JYO) secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Patkai Christian College in the 21st match of the ongoing NSF Martyrs’ Trophy at Chümoukedima Football Stadium on Sunday.
JYO striker Mecievi Khieya was the star of the match, scoring a hat-trick in the 11th, 45+3rd and 68th minutes, while teammate Keduhoto Zao added another in the 41st minute to seal the team’s dominant win. For his stellar performance, Mecievi Khieya (jersey no. 7) was adjudged the Player of the Match.
With this victory, JYO advanced confidently in the tournament while Patkai Christian College bowed out after failing to convert their chances.
Match patron, Meguo Ratsa, PA to the Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs and former Games & Sports Secretary of the Angami Students’ Union (ASU), graced the match.
