NSF Trophy: Kuki United routs Damokles FC 5-1

Kuki United registered a commanding 5-1 victory over Damokles FC Medziphema in Match No. 22 played at Chümoukedima Ground on Tuesday.
Kuki United dominated proceedings from the outset, with Lunaldo opening the scoring in the 10th minute. The second half saw the team step up their attack, as Letgoulal (12) doubled the lead in the 51st minute, followed by Paonaldo Kuki (7) who netted the third goal at the hour mark. Seivanglen Kuki (11) then struck twice, scoring in the 70th and 87th minutes to seal the comprehensive win.
Damokles FC’s lone goal came in the 54th minute through an own goal by Kuki United’s Letgoulal. Despite the setback, Kuki United maintained full control of the match, showcasing strong finishing and teamwork.
The match patron was Thejavizo Nakhro, Revenue Officer, Chümoukedima, Nagaland, while the Player of the Match award was handed to Lunaldo (jersey no. 8, Kuki United) by Imli Sunüp Ao, proprietor of G-Sports, Nagaland.

At the remarkable age of 92, Kekutsol Sophie of Tenyiphe Village attended the tournament, creating a truly memorable moment for all in attendance. The organisers gave him a warm and heartfelt welcome, while the crowd erupted into cheers that lasted several minutes as the announcer shared news of his surprise visit.
Emotions ran high as Kekutsol Sophie was invited to the official stage. Many among the organisers were moved to tears, deeply touched by the historic occasion.
“We are blessed today, and God has brought us together,” said Kevizayie Peter, Convenor of CFS, expressing gratitude and joy during this special moment of unity and celebration.
