The seventh day of the ongoing 25th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2025 witnessed dominant performances from Mez & Co and Sadar Hills F.A, who registered convincing wins against Kigwema Students’ Union and Nagaland University Kohima Campus, respectively, at the IG Stadium on Saturday.
In the first match of the day (Match No. 12), Mez & Co overpowered Kigwema Students’ Union with a commanding 5–0 victory. The scoring spree began early when Bijoy Moktan (jersey no. 30) found the net in the 9th minute. Thokchom Adison Singh (17) extended the lead with a brace, striking in the 16th and 57th minutes.
Tangua Ragvi (6) added another in the 31st minute, while Noulevituo Pienyii (9) sealed the win with a stoppage-time goal in the 94th minute.
For his impressive performance, Tangua Ragvi (6) was adjudged Player of the Match.
He received the award from deputy chairman of Kohima Municipal Council and Co-convener of the Steering Committee Khrielevi Chiisi.
The second fixture (Match No. 13) saw Sadar Hills F.A outclassed Nagaland University with a 4–0 triumph. Ngamchinlen (30) opened the scoring just before halftime in the 45th minute. The highlight of the match came from Langougin (11), who netted a sensational hat-trick with goals in the 76th, 83rd and 90+1 minutes to seal the victory.
The Player of the Match title went to Lunminthang (5) of Sadar Hills F.A, who was felicitated by Councillor, Medziphema Town Council and former president of the Angami Students’ Union Visako Rino.
