NSF Trophy: Wins for United Brothers, Nurturing Youngsters

United Brothers Club and Nurturing Youngsters recorded convincing wins on Day-4 of the ongoing 25th anniversary edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2025 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
In match six, United Brothers Club edged past Onyx Titans FC 3–2 in a closely contested encounter. Super-substitute Thejavizo Peseyie proved decisive for United Brothers as he netted a hat-trick, striking in the 17th, 41st and 44th minutes. Onyx Titans FC attempted a late fightback with goals from Toka Kiho (45+2’) and Dzüthotsoyi Medeo (90+2’), but were unable to bridge the deficit. Peseyie’s performance earned him the Man of the Match award, which was presented by Aja Zinyü, convenor of the Souvenir Committee, 25th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy.
In match seven, Nurturing Youngsters cruised to a 5–1 victory over Rüffüno Boys. Gideon Leo opened the scoring in the 4th minute, followed by goals from Shatilo Kent (41’), K. Gangkoi Konyak (61’), Bodevi Kire (76’), and Neikethozo Siamvü (90+5’). Rüffüno Boys managed a solitary goal through Rüükolie Chase in the 46th minute.
K. Gangkoi Konyak was adjudged Player of the Match, with the award handed over by Dr. Vitsosie Vüprü, Principal of Kohima College, Kohima.

RESCHEDULED MATCH TIMINGS
The Publicity Committee of the 25th Anniversary Edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy has announced a change in match timings at IG Stadium, Kohima, effective from September 19, 2025.
Following discussions by the Technical Committee and approval from the Steering Committee under Bye-law No. 25, the timings have been revised in view of bad weather conditions and unpredictable road situations affecting travel and safety.
All participating teams and clubs have been requested to take note of the revised timings and make the necessary arrangements one hour ahead of fixtures.
