NSLSA holds Legal Services Camp

DIMAPUR: Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) in collaboration with Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and District administration, Niuland, organised a Mini Legal Services Camp at Niuland town on June 6.
The programme began with an invocation by Kiyevi Zhimomi, assistant pastor, Sumi Baptist Church, Niuland. Delivering the keynote address, Neiko Akami, member secretary, NSLSA, highlighted the importance of ensuring that no citizen is left out from accessing legal services. He urged beneficiaries to avail the various schemes and entitlements provided through such camps.
T.L. Kiusumong Tikhir, Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, appreciated NSLSA’s efforts in delivering legal services and encouraged weaker and vulnerable sections to access them. He assured continued support from the district administration for similar awareness programmes.
The welcome address was delivered by N. Longshithung Ezung, PDSJ cum chairman, Dimapur DLSA, while Atoka Achumi, CJM cum secretary, Dimapur DLSA, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by Thiuswangwiliu, panel lawyer, Dimapur DLSA, and featured the NSLSA theme song presented by Kivitoli Aye and Co.
During the day long camp, over 259 beneficiaries were recorded under various schemes and entitlements. Services were provided by departments including Aadhaar registration, ST & Indigenous registration, Social Welfare, Chief Medical Office, Statistical, Forest, Agriculture, Fishery, Labour, Transport, Horticulture, SBI, DCPU and others.
