NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Vusshe) has issued a strong warning to individuals from a splinter group of the Naga National Council (NNC), cautioning against using the title “GPRN” in their nomenclature.
In a statement, MIP of NSCN/GPRN(Khango-Vusshe) asserted that the term “GPRN” has always been associated with NSCN since its formation, representing its political wing and aspirations for an independent Naga nation. It pointed out that the NNC had formed the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) in 1956, and the term “NNC” has remained consistent with its identity. The group therefore reprimanded those using “GPRN” under NNC, stating that such actions mislead the Nagas and cause confusion.
