
Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) conducted a two-day job mela for youth undergoing training on various trades at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY) centres empaneled with NSRLM on December 17 and 18 in Dimapur.
The job mela was organised with an aim to enable the state team to facilitate the process of job interview, to provide a platform for DDUGKY trained youth and employers to choose the best potential candidates. It may be mentioned that Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana is the demand-driven placement-linked skill training initiative of the ministry of rural development (MORD) focused on rural youth between the ages of 15-35 years.
In Nagaland, the NSRLM is the nodal agency for implementation of DDUGKY.
Some of the companies that participated in the interview included Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa., Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, Bangalore, Leela Hotel, Bangalore, Ethno Creations, Dimapur Nagaland and others. Over 100 candidates were selected during the two-day job mela and interviews were conducted on offline and online mode.
