Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) conducted a five-day MIS review-cum-training programme in Kohima with an objective to review the achievements of FY 18-19 and also to build the capacity of the MIS professionals at the blocks and districts from May 21-25. A press release from SRLM, state programme manager-MIS, Ren Murry stated that, additional secretary RD & mission director, Athel O. Lotha in her keynote address, stressed on MIS being the backbone of any project and encouraged the staff to be diligent and sincere in their assigned tasks. She also highlighted in brief the achievements of the last FY (2018-2019) wherein formation of 2414 SHGs, 140 VLOs, 2 CLF/BLF and release of Community Support Fund amounting to Rs.1009.18 Cr was made through fund disbursement module of the MIS portal.
Chief operating officer (COO) M. Rollan Lotha underscored the importance of Transaction Based SHG Accounting System (TBDAS) which is an online regular tracking mechanism for SHGs on their activities such as meetings, savings, loans, repayment schedules, facilitates auditing, cross-checking of SHGs balance sheet and generating grading sheets for accessing bank loans, etc. He also called upon the staff in-depth understanding of the community to develop innovations on micro level data base management other than the macro level TBDAS.
During the training, district-block teams also presented their progress, challenges and future plans. The training was facilitated by the state team Renvungo Murry, SPM (MIS) and Chenogi Semp, PM (MIS).
