NSRLM organises ‘Udyamita Pakhwara’ at Kohima village

Block Management Unit (BMU) Kohima, Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) under department of Rural Development (RD) organised a block level programme on “Udyamita Pakhwara: Enterprise promotion for Naga women through Bank Financing”, as part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” at Kohima Village Council Hall, on July 15.
In a press release, RD Block, Kohima village informed that resource person, Nagaland Rural Bank, general manager (vigilance), Sevak Chandra Das highlighted the importance of credit linkage for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and individuals to take up enterprises as livelihood.
An interaction session was also held between the members from SHGs and officials of the department and resource person, on their business plans and credit linkage requirements.
The interaction session was concluded with NRB branches in Kohima assuring credit linkages to 16 SHGs under Kohima Block NSRLM.
The programme was chaired by BPM BMMU Kohima NSRLM Vitsu Yhome while BDO-cum-BMM, RD Kohima Block, Celine Thol and state programme manager-FI NSRLM, RD department, Rajuselie Lhousa delivered short speeches.
Short speeches on experiences were also delivered by one SHG member and VLO leader. Altogether, 70 participants attended the programme.
