
As part of the 75th years of Independence, Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) Rural Development (RD) on August 11 inaugurated Community Managed Training Centre (CMTC) at Satakha under Zunheboto district.
A press release by the NSRLM RD stated that CMTC was a centre of learning owned, managed and run by the women of the Self Help Groups (SHGs) federation.
While virtually inaugurating the centre, joint secretary RD and Mission Director NSRLM, Imtimenla said that CMTC Satakha was the first of its kind in Nagaland which was being managed by the community.
She then encouraged the members to set an example of “moulding and live as a model and learning sites for other districts”.
Sapheni Block Level Federation president, Kughali Murru highlighted the progress and also the vision and aspirations of the federation while objectives and genesis of the CMTC was shared by ADPM, DMMU Zunheboto, Vika Yepthomi.
The virtual programme was attended by the officials from SMMU, BDO-cum-BMM Satakha, district and block staffs, and executive committee members of Sapheni BLF. The programme ended with an exhibition of various indigenous products.
