NSRLM staff undergo multi-thematic training

In line with the strategic objective of developing pool of resource persons from within cutting edge staff, Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) conducted three-day multi-thematic training from June 28 to 30 at RD conference hall, Kohima.
The objective of the training was to develop 20-30 State Resource Persons (SRPs) in each of the nine resource blocks to provide capacity building support towards enhancing program quality of the mission.
At the training programme, RD & mission director NSRLM joint secretary, Athel O. Lotha encouraged the staff for continued ownership of the program as development professionals and to translate learning to actions at the community level.
The programme was chaired by COO (programs) M. Rollan Lotha. He reiterated on the overall goal of NRLM in the country, and how state specific objectives and results contribute towards national goals through a results framework analysis.
The programme followed a field visit to Kigwema Village, Kohima District where Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Participatory Rural Appraisals (PRA) were conducted along with members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Village Level Organization (VLO) from the village.
Transect walk, social and resource mapping were also done by trainees
The training was conducted by nine NSRLM staff who had recently undergone ToT at NIRD, Guwahati. As a follow-up, the district/block level trainings would be organized to achieve the target.
It may be noted that NSRLM believes in developing enough human resource capital to address issues of poverty both within the state as well as outside, during the mission period.
District and Block staff from the nine NSRLM districts and staff of the state mission management unit underwent intensive classroom lectures and interactive sessions on the thematic topics of social inclusion and social mobilization; gender and convergence, capacity building management, financial inclusion and finance management and livelihoods.
