A farewell programme for seven retiring Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS) officers, along with the general body meeting of the Nagaland Secretariat Service Association (NSSA), was held on July 30 at the Secretariat conference hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima.
The retiring officers included Additional Secretary Imtitemsu, Under Secretary Arenla Imchen, Deputy Secretary K. Libanthung Patton, Joint Secretaries Thenjangusanuo Savino and K. Tsapongla Sangtam, Deputy Secretary Rhonthungo Andreas, and Section Officer Neirienuo Mepfhuo-o.
Speaking on behalf of the retiring officers, Rhonthungo Andreas, Deputy Secretary of Economic & Statistics, expressed gratitude to colleagues and staff for their support. He appreciated the progress made in the association and encouraged officers and juniors to continue the good work.
NSSA president Chubasangla Longkumer, in her address, emphasised the importance of attending association programmes and honouring retiring members. She noted that this event marked the second phase of the retirement programme, with seven officers scheduled to retire in the next six months. She extended best wishes for a fulfilling retired life.
She also highlighted two upcoming sensitisation programmes—on the New Pension Scheme and the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS)—likely to be held later in August.
During the business session, new Board of Directors for NSS Cooperative Society Ltd. was inducted, and a sensitisation session on the National Pension System (NPS) was conducted by Nagaland National Pension System Government Service Employees Forum (NNPSSGEF).
