DIMAPUR: A valedictory programme of the mid career training for officers of the Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS) was held on May 8 at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima, with additional chief secretary & APC and Director General ATI, V. Shashank Shekhar, as the special guest.
The training programme, conducted from April 27 to May 8, saw 23 Junior Section Officers successfully complete the course. Sharing their experiences, the officer trainees said the programme had instilled confidence and motivation to perform better in their duties. In his address, Shashank Shekhar stressed the importance of continuous learning, reminding the trainees that society benefits when government systems function effectively. He described the NSS as the backbone of the secretariat and emphasized the responsibility placed on officers. Calling upon them to uphold integrity, stay away from corruption and nepotism, and maintain ethical standards, he urged efficient and timely delivery of services. He also reminded the officers of the adage “Health is wealth.”
The valedictory programme was chaired by lecturer Peter Konyak. A brief report on the training was delivered by deputy secretary and course coordinator Asalie Lese. The programme was attended by joint directors Er. N. Moa Longkumer and Kaholi Sema and deputy director, Imlibenla Jamir.
