NSSA pen down strike continues

Pen down Strike called by Nagaland Secretariat Services Association (NSSA) entered second day today even as normal office functioning at the Civil Secretariat was partially affected due to the strike. The NSSA is protesting against the regularization of casual LDAs in the Secretariat Service while demanding recruitment of 43 posts of LDA through NPSC and restoration of 49 posts of LDA to the NSSA cadre. According to an official bulletin, the NSSA is also demanding transfer of services of the existing UDAs and LDAs to the P&AR department as per government order dated 4th March 2008 and the barring of appointment of casual and contract LDAs.
