Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (NSSATA) 2010 & 2013 batch, has appealed to the state government to include SSA teachers 2010 & 2013 batch into the state non-plan, saying they were appointed as regular employees.
In a representation addressed to the advisor school education, the NSSATA president, Penthungo Y Yanthan, and general secretary, Vinoka Sohe, pointed out that the post of the SSA 2010 & 2013, both the graduate and primary teachers, was the creation of the government of Nagaland.
The association also stated that apart from the payment of their salaries financed by the SSA programme, they enjoy all benefits as that of a state employee.
Claiming that there were posts of graduate teachers and primary teachers lying vacant, the NSSATA urged the state government to withhold all appointments of teachers until its demand was met.
Further, the association warned the state government that it would not remain as mute spectator if any such appointments were to take place. It instead urged the state government to accommodate the SSA Teachers (2010 & 2013 batch) in the vacant posts.
