NSSB cancels exam for 61 numbers of ANM/FHW

DIMAPUR, AUG 22 (NPN)

Following the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench quashing the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM)/Female Health (FHW) recruitment, the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) has notified cancellation of the recruitment process for appointment to 61 numbers of ANM/FHW in the Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) department.
In a notification, NSSB has directed the H&FW department to consider bringing necessary amendments in the Nagaland Nursing Services Rules, 1988 so as to provide the education/eligibility criteria for appointment to the post of ANM/FHW in an unambiguous manner, within a period of 45 days.
On completion of the necessary amendments within the 45 days, the H&FW department would within 15 days make a requisition to the NSSB, strictly complying with the provisions of Regulations 14 of the NSSB Regulations 2020.
After receipt of the requisition from the H&FW department, the NSSB would issue necessary advertisement for the same within 15 days.
Therefore, in compliance with the High Court order, the NSSB has notified that the examination conducted ANM/FHW post, on February 24, 2024 stands cancelled with immediate effect.
NSSB informed that fresh recruitment for the said post would be conducted as and when the amended eligibility criteria by the concerned Department are notified and other directives were fully complied with.
