NStCB holds annual general meeting

The Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB) held its 49th Annual General Meeting on January 31 at NStCB conference hall, head office, Dimapur.
Secretary (Cooperation) and Municipal Affair, Nagaland, I. Akato Sema, in his speech stated that sustenance of a nation relies greatly on farming, and encouraged the gathering to lend helping hands to farmers and encourage farming. He remarked that farmers were the back bone of the state and urged the gathering to help increase farming productivity. 
Short speeches were also delivered by newly elected BOD of Tuensang, Y. Changsang and AGM, NABARD, K. C. Biswas. Representing the gathering, three delegates also spoke at the meeting.  
Board of director (BoD) member, L.N. Ngullie, read out the confirmation of proceedings of the 48th AGM held on January 19, 2018, and approval and consideration of annual report of directors for the year 2017-18 was read out by vice chairman, NStCB, Kekhwengulo Lea.
Approval of the auditor’s report, auditor’s statement of accounts for the year 2018, together with audit was initiated by BoD, M. Bendangnukshi, and BoD, T. Abao Kire read out the revised budget for 2017-18 and estimated budget for the years 2018-19 & 2019-20, for consideration and approval. 
GM, Accounts, A.K. Deb read out the amendment by laws of the bank, where the meeting in general agreed to extend the tenures of the BoD’s from three to five years. In addition, having one vacant post for Tuensang district, Wepe Ritse conducted the election, where Y. Changsang was elected unopposed. 
Presentation of awards was initiated by GM (Admin & Vigil), Ningsangwaba, who presented awards to three societies and nine branches, comprising of all districts branches in Nagaland.
Earlier, the program was chaired by vice chairman, Kekhwengulo Lea, where he also delivered the Chairman’s Address. 
Pastor, DABA, Rev. L. Lima Jamir offered the invocation and managing director R. Lipoktoba Aier, pronounced a vote of thanks.
