Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) calls for peace between Meiteis & Kukis

The Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) has appealed to Meitei and Kuki communities of Manipur to refrain from indulging in any further provocative acts of violence and maintain peace and harmony at all levels. In a statement, NTC called upon the two communities to shun from all forms of violence and give peace a chance and restore the age-old peaceful atmosphere and tranquillity, and rebuild the past glory of Manipur.
According to NTC, the glory of clashes and arson was only destruction, impacting economy of the people and loss of God’s beautiful creation of precious lives that could not be given by any man on earth. The council said it was against humanity. “Anger is the shortest form of madness and by the time it is regretted, the devastation done is gone beyond management,” the statement emphasised.
