The consultative meeting of eight apex tribes hohos has resolved that in view of the need for a formidable common platform for the Nagas of Nagaland and in view of the present Nagaland Tribes Council (NTC) office-bearers’ tenure ending in October this year, the council has to further synchronise with the tribal hohos, including the tribes under ENPO jurisdiction, to strengthen the understanding and reconstitute the new team on time.
According to NTC president Toniho Yepthomi and general secretary Nribemo Ngullie, the meeting was convened by the NTC here on August 30 and eight apex tribes
hohos were invit-ed- Angami Public Organisation, Ao Senden, Chakhroma Public Organisation, Lotha Hoho, Pochury Hoho, Rengma Hoho, Sümi Hoho and Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organisation. However, CPO and NZPO conveyed their inability to attend the meeting due to pre-scheduled programmes. The agenda of the consultative meeting was “Better understanding of NTC and related matters”.
