NTCP Phek conducts enforcement drive

DIMAPUR: National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP), Phek, along with the block enforcement squad comprising the district administration led by EAC Chozuba Dr. Cthitu Nienu, Dobashis, CTC, CTWWS, CTCSU, CTYS and police personnel, carried out an enforcement drive near educational institutions at Chozuba town on September 8, 2026.
According to a DIPR report, during the drive, 20 shops found violating provisions were penalised under Section 6(b) of COTPA 2003 (Prohibition of Sale of Tobacco Products to Minors or by Minors).
