Niuland Town Development Committee (NTDC) members along with GBs of Niuland town inspected various ongoing development projects at Niuland town on June 30.
In a press release, GBs Shiwoto Zhimo, Hotovi Chophy and Vikheto Awomi informed that the team visited construction of approach road and discussed about the need to facilitate enough space for future expansion.
They also visited another approach road where a culvert was being constructed and expressed the need to further elevate the culvert to a desired level.
Inspecting the ongoing construction of waiting shed at Niuland town cemetery, the committee members and GBs deliberated on various aspects and ideas to beautify the cemetery and initiate other developmental activities there.
All three projects were undertaken under the municipal affairs department and the GBs of Niuland town acknowledged PHED minister, Jacob Zhimomi under whose initiative, the town council status was accorded to Niuland and who took initiative in facilitating the ongoing projects in Niuland even during pandemic.
The GBs also appreciated ADC Niuland, Athrila S who was also the NTDC chairperson for actively supervising developmental activities in Niuland town.
Further, the GBs informed that all the three projects were progressing satisfactorily and the GBs of Niuland town assured the government authorities of their support and cooperation towards any developmental projects in the town.
