Ntl seminar on ‘constructivism’ ends

Two-day national seminar on “constructivism” was conducted by Research and Development Committee, Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima from September 1-2 at the College Auditorium Hall. 
Altogether 11 resource persons consisting of research scholars and teaching faculties from various colleges and universities presented their papers. 
The first technical session was based on “Conceptual and Theoretical Knowledge on Constructivists Approach” chaired by assistant professor, Dept. of Education, Nagaland University, Dr. B.V Rao, with five presenters. 
“Constructivism vs Behaviourism”, “Role of Constructivism in Teaching-Learning: A Theoretical Perspective”, “Role of 5E and 7E Constructivists Models in Mathematics Education” were some of the topics presented.
The second technical session on “Constructivism at School and College level” was chaired by principal, Sazolie College of Teacher Education, Jotsoma, Dr. Gomesh Mosahary. 
“Constructivists Approach- A paradigm for Teaching and Learning at College Level”, “Constructivism at School Level” were some of the topics delivered.
The seminar concluded with the valedictory session which was chaired by assistant professor, MITE, Imkongsenla Longchar, valedictory remark from assistant professor, SCTE, Kohima, Elizabeth Walling, rapporteurs remark by asst. professor, MITE Daikho Manehrii, and vote of thanks by managing director, MITE, Pelee Hekha. 
Earlier, the inaugural programme was chaired by Kavani Hekha, welcome note by principal MITE, Devanand Sinha, while principal, SCTE, Kohima, Dr. Bendangyapangla, delivered the keynote address. Representatives from SCTE, Kohima, Nagaland University and participants from various colleges attended the seminar.
