Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC), Dimapur, and Cyient Foundation, Hyderabad, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Cyient Foundation Head Office, Hyderabad, to strengthen skill development and employability initiatives for the youth of Nagaland.

Tokugha Sema, director, Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, and chief executive officer, NTTC, along with Krishna Mohan Deevi, senior director & head-CSR, Cyient Foundation. The partnership will see Cyient Foundation extend support through knowledge sharing, technical expertise, and implementation guidance, while NTTC will serve as the on-ground training and execution partner, leveraging its infrastructure and experience in vocational and technical education.
The collaboration aims to enhance NTTC’s institutional capacity through technology-enabled, industry-relevant, and future-oriented training programmes. Key areas include vocational and technical skill development, exposure to emerging technologies, capacity building of trainers, and employability-focused skilling initiatives aligned with industry needs.
As part of the engagement, a Nagaland delegation led by P. Tokugha Sema, along with NTTC officials, visited several strategic facilities of Cyient Ltd., including the Design-Led Manufacturing (DLM) Plant, Cyient Urban Micro Skill Centre, and the Cyient Experience Centre. The team gained first-hand exposure to advanced manufacturing practices, skill development models, and industry-driven training ecosystems.
The delegation also visited IIT Hyderabad, where interactions were held at the Technology Incubation Park, Technology Research Park, and TIHAN (Technology Innovation Hub on Autonomous Navigation). These visits provided valuable insights into innovation-led education, research-driven skill development, startup incubation, and industry–academia collaboration. Meetings were held with NGOs and corporate foundations to explore potential partnerships and funding collaborations aimed at strengthening NTTC’s infrastructure for skill development, institutional sustainability, and inclusive growth initiatives for the youth.
The MoU marks a significant milestone in fostering industry–institution synergy and reflects a shared commitment to empowering Nagaland’s youth with future-ready skills, thereby enhancing employment opportunities and contributing to the state’s long-term socio-economic development.
