Nagaland Timber Traders Union (NTTU) has sought the intervention of Deputy Commissioner of Peren on the alleged violation of breach of trust by one person against its member and for tarnishing the image of the district administration and the government.
In press release, NTTU president, Kevise Sogotsu informed that its member entered an agreement with the DB on feeling and purchase of teak trees. However, NTTU claimed that the member was deceived and cheated.
Furthermore, NTTU claimed that the member was also stopped for felling teak trees while keys of the four trucks were seized by another party.
In this connection, NTTU said a legal notice has been served with certain demands to comply – immediate return of the three trucks still in their possession; full refund of the total amount paid by their client for the teak trees and felling and loading charges.
NTTU therefore, appealed to the DC to take immediate action before the matter escalates.
