Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Nagaland University (NU), conducted campaign on “Nutri-Garden and Tree Plantation” under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence, at Suruhoto Town under Suruhoto block, Zunheboto.
A press release by NU KVK, stated that chief guest for the programme assistant head master, Government High School, Suruhoto, Boto Awomi highlighted on importance on inclusion of millets in our diet and stressed upon cultivation of millets.
A lecture on “Nutri- cereals and their role on Human health”, was also delivered by ACTO, A/GPB, KVK, Zunheboto, Dr.VisakhoShunyu.
Participants, comprising of farmers, SHG members and girls were provided with packet of winter vegetable seeds, along with lime saplings.
