NU organises webinar on status of Hindi language

Nagaland University (NU) Lumami, Hindi Cell organised a webinar on “status of official language Hindi in 75th year of independence” on August 31. 

In a press release, PRO NU Lumami, Peter Ki informed that the first speaker, department of English NU, professor N.D.R. Chandra, focused on the historical and constitutional introduction of the official language Hindi and emphasised on one culture, one language.

The second speaker, head, department of Hindi, Assam University professor Jai Kaushal, spoke on the steps taken by the government for the development of the official language.

He also pointed out what should be the form of official language Hindi in each sector.

In his presidential address, department of economics NU, professor Mithilesh Kumar Sinha maintained that the scope of official language Hindi was very wide.

He asserted that the World Hindi Conferences have played an important role in spreading Hindi language.

Earlier, the webinar started with a welcome address by Hindi officer NU, Ashish Kumar while vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Kuldeep Singh Panwar. The webinar was attended by around 70 participants.

It may be mentioned that the main objective of the webinar was to promote official language Hindi among faculties, staff and students of the university.
