Prof. Ambrish Singh of Nagaland University, an expert in Corrosion, Electrochemistry, and Materials Chemistry, served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) from June 14 to 30, 2025.
During his visit, Prof. Singh delivered lectures on corrosion science to postgraduate students and faculty. He also visited laboratories in Beijing, Linfen, and Jixian County, where he collaborated with Chinese researchers on eco-friendly inhibitors and battery development, aimed at promoting sustainable industrial practices.
In Jixian, Prof. Singh explored the use of green chemistry in manufacturing. His visit was marked by academic exchanges and discussions for future collaboration between NU and USTB, paving the way for joint research and student exchange programmes.
Earlier, Prof. Singh had served as Visiting Professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan, in June 2024, where he engaged with PhD and master’s students through seminars and lectures.
