All India Coordinated Research Project of soybean (AICRP) NU: SASRD, Medziphema organized farmers training at V.K town, Zunheboto district in collaboration with KVK, Lumami on June 28 and at Mangkolemba, Mokokchung district in collaboration with SDAO, Mangkolemba on June 29.
ADC Mangkolemba, Imtiwabang Aier graced the programme as chief guest and also distributed farm implements and improved seeds to the farmers.
The resource persons of the training were associate professor, NU: SASRD, Dr. L. Tongpang Longkumer and SMS, KVK, Lumami, Dr Visakho. Altogether, 70 farmers participated in the training at V.K town.In Mangkolemba 90 farmers participated while associate professor, NU: SASRD, Dr. L. Tongpang Longkumer and SDAO Imkongtemsu Longchar, A.O Onglutsuba and A.O Sunep were the resource persons.
The farmers were trained on cultivation practices of soybean and other economical crops relevant to the agro-ecological situation of the area in both the place.
