NU signs MoU with Dibrugarh University for research

DIMAPUR: Nagaland University (NU) and Dibrugarh University entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Dibrugarh University, Assam, on August 20, aimed at strengthening academic, research and institutional cooperation between the two universities.
According to a press release by NU, the MoU marks an important step towards creating sustained opportunities for academic interaction, knowledge exchange and collaborative initiatives involving faculty members, researchers and students of both institutions.
Representing NU, Prof. Joy Das, Finance Officer (In charge), was present at the MoU announcement, while Dibrugarh University was represented by Vice Chancellor Prof. Jiten Hazarika, Registrar Dr. Paramananda Sonowal, and Head, Department of Commerce Dr. Bipasha Chetiya, along with faculty members of the Department of Commerce.
The release informed that under the MoU, the universities will collaborate in areas including faculty, researcher and student exchange, internships and training, joint research and publications, joint academic courses, conferences and seminars, and capacity building initiatives.
The agreement will also facilitate sharing of academic expertise and scholarly resources, while encouraging collaborative activities of mutual interest.
