Nuklutoshi raises issue of CFC food processing unit

NPP legislator Nuklutoshi on Thursday raised the issue of the Common Facility Centre (CFC) Food Processing Unit at Yaongyimsen during question hour on the fifth day of the Assembly session.
Querying the status of the project, Nuklutoshi sought to know the expected timeline for completion of the CFC Food Processing Unit and when operations at the processing facility would begin. Replying to the query, chief minister Neiphiu Rio said the unit was likely to be completed and made operational within one year if the 60% central share was released by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). Supplementing his question, Nuklutoshi underscored the importance of timely completion of the project, stating that it would benefit lakhs of farmers from the area as well as neighbouring districts. He also urged the chief minister to intervene and ensure priority was given for the early completion of the CFC Food Processing Unit.
