Nagaland User’s Network (NUN) has conducted an advocacy programme on ‘HIV/AIDS and Harm Reduction’ with stakeholders of Satakha on January 21 at Satakha town with ADC Athrila Sangtam as the guest of honour.
Speaking at the programme, Sangtam has described programme “very informative” stating that she had gained more insights on the subject matter. She urged the stakeholders to spread the information and knowledge attained from the programme with the larger section of the society. She also called upon the administration to cooperate and support the cause.
Ketholelie Angami presented overview of NUN as a State level drug user’s network and some of its significant activities.
Abou Mere spoke on the topic HIV/AIDS as a health issue and also emphasized on the need to address stigma and discrimination, while Gwabinlo Seb highlighted the concept of target intervention programming through harm reduction approach. Meanwhile, ADC Zunheboto and NUN agreed to organize a similar programme in Satakha areas.
