Nagaland University Non-Teaching Staff Association (NUNTSA) has decided to join the ‘One day all India strike’ called by All India University Employees Confederation (AIUEC) on August 20, to press for the demands of non-teaching employees of universities across the country. NUNTSA president Medo Chirha and vice president Kelhoukhotuo in a press release said the strike would be observed in all campuses of Nagaland University by the non-teaching staffs in the form of total cease work by abstaining from office. Some of the demands of non-teaching employees are inclusion of non-teaching employees under the purview of UGC pay review committee and representation of non-teaching employees in decision making bodies.
