NUNTSA to continue agitation

Nagaland University Non- Teaching Staff Association (NUNTSA) has resolved to continue with its on going agitation. Completing its sixth day of its agitation on Tuesday, the Association decided to continue with it during its joint staff council meeting held on August 25.
Association president Medo Chirhah and general secretary Lanuzulu has informed that agitation would continue in the form of total cease work and sit-in dharna by its members in all the three campuses.
However, medical staff will be exempted from the purview of the agitation. NUNTSA while expressing its gratitude to the students’ community, press fraternity and others, who extended their support in struggle for justice, has appealed to the students’ community and the general public to bear with the inconveniences while asserting that greater cause of the agitation was not merely demands of the Association but was a fight “against the system that is killing this University”.
Meanwhile, the NUNTSA has expressed concern over the manner in which the President and Secretary General of the-CEC. NUTA were suspended. It has demanded for suspension order to immediately revoke before it took an ugly turn.
