Nursing Council informs about recognised nursing institutes

Taking note of some institutions putting up advertisements in local dailies inviting applications for admission into nurse training, the Nagaland Nursing Council (NNC) has informed that there were only seven nursing institutes in Nagaland recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).

In a press release, Nagaland Nursing Council (NNC) registrar Dr. Sentinaro Ao stated that in order to be employed under the government of Nagaland, a nursing student would have to pass out from a nursing school/college recognised by INC.

It stated that INC recognised nursing institutes in Nagaland include school of nursing, Naga Hospital Authority Kohima; school of nursing, IMDH, Mokokchung; school of nursing, District Hospital, Dimapur; ANM school of nursing, Tuensang; School of Nursing, CISHR, Dimapur; College of Nursing, CISHR, Dimapur and Health Nursing School, Dhansiripar, Singrijan, Dimapur. 

The council stated that anyone passing out from any other institution other than those recognised would not be eligible for government employment.
