National Vector Borne Disease Control Program (NVBDCP) Longleng organised an inter school quiz competition on malaria on October 18 at EBRC Hall Longleng.
A press release by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Longleng office stated that 83 students from eight different schools along with their teacher in-charge attended the programme out of which 20 students, ten in senior category and ten in junior category participated in the quiz competition.
In the senior category, the first position was bagged by Henshak O Phom from Vision Vale School and Yimjensenla from Phom Lempong School and Sentongjungla from Christian School were adjudged second and third respectively. In the junior category, Chingjei from Phom Lempong School bagged the first position while Moitan from Christian School and Wanmei Y from Good Shepherd School bagged the second and third positions respectively.
The winners were felicitated by with cash and certificate by DVBO (NVBDCP), Dr. Marina Yaden. The programme was chaired by consultant NVBDCP, Nyumoi Phom and began with an invocation by teacher in-charge from Phom Lempong School. The programme was also attended by NVBDCP staffs.
