NVCO, LMCP observe ‘National Consumer Day’

NVCO & LMCP observed 5th day of “national consumer day” on December 22.

A press release by NVCO press & media cell stated that, NVCO president, Kezhokhoto Savi in his speech expressed that consumer movement would highlight lifestyles changes, wherein consumers can play their part and what governments and business needed to do to make sustainable the easy choice for consumers.

He stated that sustainable consumption was the use of material products, energy and immaterial services in a way that their use minimise impacts on the environment, so that human needs can be met not only in the present but also for future generations.

Further, he shared that sustainable consumption was aimed at increasing resource efficiency and fair trade which alleviate poverty and enable everyone to enjoy a good quality of life.
