NWA U-23 team to compete at National Wrestling Championship in Ranchi

DIMAPUR, AUG 20 (NPN)

The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) U-23 team is set to participate in the upcoming U-23 National Wrestling Championship scheduled to be held from August 22 to 24, 2025, in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The championship will include competitions in Free Style, Greco Roman Style and Women’s Wrestling categories.
In a press release, NWA through its publicity cell informed that the NWA delegation is led by president of NWA, Vivolie Kezo, and women coordinator Vesavolü Soho. Representing Nagaland in the championship are Nosezonu Kuotsu (50kg, Free Style), Kusayi Tsutso (74kg, Free Style), and Venu Vadeo (97kg, Greco Roman).
Organized by the Jharkhand State Wrestling Association under the aegis of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), the event is expected to draw top young talent from across the country.
A send-off programme for the NWA team was held earlier on Wednesday at the NWA Office, Secretariat Road. Deacon of CBCK, Neikhwezü Venuh, delivered words of encouragement and offered blessings to the team. The programme was chaired by NWA publicity secretary, Seyielhouvi Nagi, with a brief address by NWA treasurer Keneilel Rote.
The association has appealed to the wrestling fraternity and well-wishers to uphold the team in prayer as they represent the state on the national stage.
