NWHD holds seminar on women’s health and well-being

DIMAPUR: Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) organised a seminar on “Women’s Health and Mental Well Being” at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on August 8, 2026, with the objective of creating awareness on women’s physical health, wellness and mental well being.
The seminar featured two sessions. The first, “Life After 40: Four Pillars of Midlife Care,” was conducted by Dr. Emmanuel L. Yanthan, Consultant Gynaecologist, Evita GyneCare Clinic, who spoke on physical and hormonal changes during midlife and stressed the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and regular health check ups.
The second session, “Anxiety and Depression in Women: Recognition & Support,” was conducted by Lovitoli Awomi, Counselling Psychologist and Founder of Lapiye Centre for Mental Well Being. She highlighted the need to recognise anxiety and depression early and emphasised timely emotional and professional support.
The seminar provided participants with practical knowledge and an opportunity for meaningful discussions on issues concerning women’s physical and mental health.
NWHD expressed gratitude to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dimapur, and the Medical Superintendent (MS), District Hospital Dimapur, along with Dr. Emmanuel L. Yanthan for their generous contribution of medicines and first aid support.
