The neighbourhood youth parliament organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Tuensang was conducted at council hall Chessore village on Thursday.
At the programme, Chancham Yimchunger NYC Tuensang district, said that, the neighbourhood youth parliament could take up any issues of common concern to the local community and to publicize, promote and participate in the various national flagship programmes. He also urged upon the youths to participate and come forward with innovative thoughts and notion in order to uplift and bring positive changes development in the society.
During the programme, the participants also shared and deliberated on the role of youth and its activities for the common benefits and upliftment of the society, including, education, heath, family welfare and nutrition, sanitation and cleanliness, social issues, environment conservation and women empowerment. Altogether, 62 youth of the rural area attended at the programme.
