Nagaland Zeliang People Organization (NZPO) and Lamhai Village Council (LVC) convened a joint meeting on December 16, 2024, to deliberate on matters pertaining to the leadership of the Lamhainamdi Village Council.
In a press release, NZPO Information and publicity Secretary Tingwangsi Newmai informed that after extensive discussions, the assembly unanimously nullified the unauthorized gathering conducted on December 13, 2024, at Lamhainamdi Village. Subsequently, the house resolved to designate Haibamko, chairman of the Lamhai Village Council, as the acting chairman of Lamhainamdi Village until a new chairman is elected.
Meanwhile, the house unanimously declined the resignation tendered by the core committee, recognizing their indispensable and dedicated service since its inception. To enhance administrative efficiency, a three-member of plot Allotment Committee has been constituted to be led by chairman of Lamhai Village cum acting chairman of Lamhainamdi Village.
The committee will be entrusted with managing land-related matters in alignment with the resolutions adopted during the joint meeting of the Lamhai and Lamhainamdi Village Councils. NZPO president Zandi Domta, informed the gathering that the team imminent visit to Lamhainamdi was to assess the prevailing conditions on the ground.
