In view of the festive season and easing of traffic, Dimapur Traffic Police (DTP) have lifted the odd-even system within DMC jurisdiction for the convenience of the general public with immediate effect till further order.
Further, in connection with reconstruction of two minor bridges located near Dellai Gate and near Police Check Post, Rilan Village on NH-36, the Dimapur police have informed that the said NH-36 stretch would be completely blocked for traffic movement with effect from December 23 till the completion of the bridges.
The commissioner of police (CP) Dimapur Kevithuto Sophie has, therefore, issued a traffic advisory regarding alternate routes.
For heavy/ medium vehicles (entry/exit point into Dimapur from Assam and vice versa): Entry from 4-lane Bypass route Jn near Dellai Sunday Bazaar, Assam and exit at New Field Check Post and vice versa.
For light vehicles (entry/exit point into Dimapur from Assam and vice versa): Entry from 4-lane Bypass route Jn near Dellai Sunday Bazaar, Assam and exit at Chotu Lengri/Bor Lengri/Lengrijan/Duncan Basti/Notun Basti and vice versa.
CP informed that the Traffic diversion on NH-36 would come into effect from December 23, 2024 and would be enforced till the completion of reconstruction of the two minor bridges.
