District administration Longleng, led by Deputy Commissioner (DC), John Tsulise Sangtam, on November 16 inspected Leinyak Petro Pump, Longleng.
A report by DIPR stated that the DC was accompanied by SDO
(Civil), D. Robin, additional superintendent of police (ASP) Atopu Sumi, ADS (Supply) Ekoni Humtsoe and DPRO, S. Hongpi Konyak.
The team checked for fuel adulteration, availability of filter paper and density reference record, metering unit and totaling unit seals, maintenance of testing kit etc.
After inspection and testing, the DC directed the petro pump manager to not conceal any consumer amenities but display them outside the building, including lists of consumer’s rights and prices of items so that consumers could avail of facilities provided by the oil company.
The team also collected samples of petrol and diesel to be sent for laboratory tests to ensure that fuel was unadulterated in the district.
