Department of Agriculture under SDAO Tizit and NMEO-OP distributed machineries for Oil-palm farmers at a machineries distribution programme held at Tizit on July 11. The programme was graced by SDO (Civil) Tizit, Tumben Tsanglao as special guest.
A press release from agriculture department informed that Tsanglao encouraged the farmers to sincerely maintain the fields as per the guidelines and increase the Fresh Fruit Bunch-FFB production.
He reminded the farmers to take opportunity to enhance and increase the area through department and the company (Patanjali) support.
Meanwhile SDAO Tizit Myanthung Patton, in his keynote address said that the department was leaving no stone unturned to assist and support the Oil-palm farmers through financially, machineries and other inputs required.
The machineries distributed were six HP Water Pump,Brush Cutters, Harvester, Power Tillers, Brush Cutter with Attachments, prunning tools and Fungicides.
Progressive Oil-palm farmers Honlem and Tongpong thanked the department on behalf of the farmers. The program was chaired by Chingin konyak A.O and attended by Patanjali Company.
